At JRVS, social inclusion is the cornerstone of our programs. We prioritize a person-centered approach to ensure meaningful community involvement for each individual. Our programs are designed around exploratory learning modules, providing immersive and comprehensive experiences. Each module is structured over a one-week period to maximize learning and engagement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Family Care Act
The Family Care Act was established to allow family members to become paid providers. Jordan Residential and Vocational Services contracts with family members, treating them as Independent Contractors who provide 24-hour care for their loved ones. These Independent Contractors are held to the same standards as our Host Home Providers, ensuring consistent, high-quality care.
Host Home Services
Host Home Services involve an Independent Contractor agreeing to open their home and provide 24-hour care for individuals. The required care includes medication management, meal preparation, cleaning, medical appointments, money management, and adherence to any applicable Colorado Revised Statutes related to the health and safety of the individuals served.
Host Home Providers are held to the same standards as Independent Contractors by the state of Colorado, including requirements for liability insurance, trade name registration, and agency-required documentation. Reimbursement varies based on the support level of the individual being served but is considered non-taxable income.
Day Program
Our Day Program is a facility-based initiative where individuals gather to socialize, integrate with peers, and engage with the community while learning independent living skills. Participants work on personalized goals to develop valuable social and adaptive life skills. Services are provided Monday through Friday, offering caregivers valuable respite during the day.
